| After successfully completing the Field Training Officer portion of training, an Officer is assigned a marked Patrol car. All Officers living inside the Clovis limits may drive their patrol cars off-duty and store them at home. This program is intended to increase the number of police units available to respond to calls for service; increase the number of police officers visible in the city; enable the Department to call off-duty officers to respond directly to emergencies; and improve vehicle maintenance. The program is not considered part of an officer's pay or benefits and may be suspended or terminated at any time. |
