Lt. Schoeffel started his law enforcement career with the Clovis Police Department in 1990 after serving four years in the US Air Force Security Police. Lt. Schoeffel worked Patrol, Community Relations and was a Detective for the Clovis Police Department for 5 years. Lt. Schoeffel left the Clovis Police Department for a little over a year in 1999 to complete his Bachelor’s Degree at ENMU and worked as a Detective for the ENMU Police Department while finishing his degree plan. After graduating, Lt. Schoeffel re-applied to the Clovis Police Department and was re-hired in 2000. Lt. Schoeffel worked Patrol, Community Relations, Patrol Sergeant, Office of Professional Standards Sergeant and Lieutenant as well as his last assignment as the Records Custodian Supervisor and Training and Recruiting Division Lieutenant in the Support Services Division. In March 2010, Lt. Schoeffel was assigned to the Field Services Division where he is responsible for directing shifts with the Patrol Division. Lt. Schoeffel is also a Graduate of the 234th Session of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy (Police Command College) in Quantico, Virginia.

 

Lieutenant Doug Ford

Lt. Douglas R. Ford started his law enforcement career in 1994, serving with the Clovis Police Department since October 1997. Lt. Ford is assigned to the Field Services Division overseeing Special Assignments, to include the Traffic Division, K-9 Unit, Dispatch/Communications and Animal Control Divisions.

Lt. Ford has worked as a Patrol Officer, Gang Unit Officer, K-9 Officer and Field Training Officer. As a Sergeant and Lieutenant he has supervised in the Field Services Bureau, Special Operations Unit and K-9 Unit. Lt. Ford completed his Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Clovis Community College, Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Education in Law Enforcement from Wayland Baptist University and a Master of Science of Management Graduate Degree with a Concentration in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University. Lt. Ford attended and graduated the 47th Management College at the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration in 2011.

Lieutenant Roman  Romero

Lt. Roman Romero started his law enforcement career serving with the Clovis Police Department beginning in February 1996 after several years of serving with the United States Marine Corps. Lt. Romero is assigned to the Field Services Division overseeing both the Swings and Graves Shifts as Watch Commander and the Gang Unit Supervisor. Lt. Romero is also a SWAT Team Operator.

Lt. Romero has worked at the line-level as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, SWAT Officer, Gang Unit Officer, K-9 Officer, Detective and a Narcotics Agent. As a Sergeant and Lieutenant he has supervised in the Field Services Division, Special Operations Unit and K-9 Unit. Lt. Romero has been awarded the Combat Cross Medal for Valor and two Lifesaving Medals since working with the Clovis Police Department.
