Lieutenant Jay Longley

Lt. Longley started his law enforcement career with the Clovis Police in 1981. Lt. Longley has worked in patrol, detectives and K-9.  In 1993, Lt. Longley was assigned to the narcotics division where he worked as an agent.  In 2000 Lt. Longley promoted to Sergeant as the unit supervisor. He has served in both Field Services and the Special Operations Unit. Lt. Longley was awarded the Department’s Combat Cross in 2002.  In April, 2009 Lt. Longley assumed responsibility for managing the K-9 Unit, Traffic Unit, Communications, and Animal Control.

  

Lieutenant Jerry Wike

Lt. Wike started his law enforcement career with the City of Clovis in August of 1990, after serving five years as an explosive ordinance disposal technician in the United States Air Force.  He attended the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy where he graduated in June 1991.  Lt. Wike has worked for the Curry County Sheriff’s Department and the Albuquerque Police Department.  During Lt. Wike’s career in law enforcement he has worked as a patrolman, narcotics agent, detective and canine handler.  In April 2005 Lt. Wike was promoted to Sergeant and was assigned to the Field Services Division.  Lt. Wike was later reassigned as a narcotics unit supervisor and the Special Operations Unit supervisor.  In September of 2007 Lt. Wike was promoted to Lieutenant and was assigned to the Office of Professional Standards.  In April, 2009 Lt. Wike was assigned to Police Services where he is responsible for directing shifts with the Patrol Division.   

 

Lieutenant James Schoeffel

Lt. Schoeffel started his law enforcement career with the Clovis Police Department in 1990 after serving four years in the US Air Force Security Police. Lt. Schoeffel worked Patrol, Community Relations and was a Detective for the Clovis Police Department for 5 years. Lt. Schoeffel left the Clovis Police Department for a little over a year in 1999 to complete his Bachelor’s Degree at ENMU and worked as a Detective for the ENMU Police Department while finishing his degree plan. After graduating, Lt. Schoeffel re-applied to the Clovis Police Department and was re-hired in 2000. Lt. Schoeffel worked Patrol, Community Relations, Patrol Sergeant, Office of Professional Standards Sergeant and Lieutenant as well as his last assignment as the Records Custodian Supervisor and Training and Recruiting Division Lieutenant in the Support Services Division. In March 2010, Lt. Schoeffel was assigned to the Police Services Division where he is responsible for directing shifts with the Patrol Division.
