A Clovis man identified as 29 year-old Antoine Brigham was arrested Thursday afternoon, October 27, 2011 on a charge of Felony Aggravated Battery On A Household Member stemming from a stabbing incident at 1021N. Gidding Street in Clovis that had occurred earlier in the morning.  

At approximately 7:09 a.m. on October 27, 2011 Clovis Police Officers were dispatched to 1021 N. Gidding Street in Clovis in reference to a “Remove Subject” call. The first responding Officer found a man laying in the front yard of 1021 N. Gidding Street suffering from stab wounds to the torso. The victim was identified as 20 year-old Brand Hutchison that lives at the residence. Brand Hutchison told the Officer that he had been stabbed by his roommate he identified as 29 year-old Antoine Brigham. The victim Brand Hutchison said he had disarmed Antoine Brigham of the knife and Brigham had run out the back door. The Officer located the knife next to the Brand Hutchison in the yard. Brand Hutchison told the Officer that he had gotten into a fight with his roommate Antoine Brigham in the house and that Antoine Brigham had stabbed him numerous times in the back and once in the side during the altercation. Officers were unable to immediately locate the suspect Antoine Brigham in the area.        

The stabbing victim Brand Hutchison was transported to a Lubbock hospital for treatment of knife wounds where he was last known to be in stable condition. 

At approximately 11:59 a.m. on October 27, 2011 Clovis Police Officers were dispatched back to 1021 N. Gidding Street in reference to a report from a neighbor that saw a man crawl through a front window at the residence matching the description of the suspect Antoine Brigham. Officers attempted to make contact at the residence with no response. A search warrant and arrest warrant for Antoine Brigham were generated as Officers maintained surveillance on the residence. At approximately 1:25 p.m. Clovis Police Officers entered the attic of the residence and located and arrested Antoine Brigham.

Twenty-nine year-old Antoine Brigham is going to be held at the Curry County Adult Detention Center on a cash only bond. Any suspect booking photos will have to be requested from the Curry County Adult Detention Center at 575-762-3810.
